Set in beautiful surroundings in the Wye in The Wye Valley, both properties are in an ideal location for a holiday or short break, with plenty of activities available locally, e.g. forest trails, the Wye Valley Walk, fishing, canoeing, biking and horse riding. We are fortunate to have several championship golf courses nearby. The Celtic Manor, hosted the Ryder Cup in October 2010 at Newport, only 35 minutes away. The house is about 30 minutes from the Chepstow and Hereford racecourses and Cheltenham racecourse, famous for the Cheltenham Gold Cup is 40 minutes away.
Herefordshire and surrounding counties are well known for gastronomic delights, with regular Food Festivals held in Abergavenny, Ludlow and Hereford. Literary Festivals are held each year in Hay on Wye and Cheltenham and showcases for local artisans at H.Art and the Open Studios in the Forest of Dean are popular annual events.
Central London is only about three hours away by car and Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham airports are about an hour away with Heathrow airport being two and a half hours away. The picturesque villages of the Cotswolds too are within easy reach.
